Financial Aid/Installment Plans

California School of Law provides students with several affordable and attractive installment plans.  All plans require some payment while attending law school.  All students enrolled in the California School of Law will be approved for an installment plan.  Tuition is charged by the trimester, not the year, keeping both the principal and interest low. Federal financial aid is not available to our students at this time.

For new students, a one-time down payment fee of $500 is paid prior to the beginning of law school. This fee is applied to the tuition for the first trimester. Monthly payments start thereafter, due by the 15th of each month.

The installment loan plans are as follows:

CSL11 - $625/mo, 1%

Students make a $625.00 payment each month, until the loan is paid in full by the end of the trimester.  The interest rate is 1% per year on the amount owed.  (This is not a typo, 1% annual interest is charged, and with auto-debit, it’s a 0% interest loan.)

CSL12 - $525/mo, 5%

Students make a $525.00 payment each month, until the loan is paid in full.  The interest rate is 5% per year on the amount owed.

CSL13 - $425/mo, 10%

Students make a $425.00 payment each month, until the loan is paid in full.  The interest rate is 10% per year on the amount owed.

CSL14 - $350/mo, 15%

Students make a $350.00 payment each month, until the loan is paid in full.  The interest rate is 15% per year on the amount owed.

Automatic Debit

Regardless of the installment plan chosen, a student gets 1% off the interest rate charged by agreeing to have monthly payments made by an automatic debit to his/her checking, debit or credit account.

Credit Card Payments

Credit cards are accepted to process payments.  Any surcharges are paid by the student.

Accelerating Payments

Students may pay off the balance of a note or pay a lump sum at any time, without penalty.

Returned Checks

Students will be charged a $25.00 fee for a returned check.

Late Fees

Students will be charged a $10.00 late fee for payments received after the due date.  Again, the due date is the 15th of each month, unless prior arrangements have been made.
