Ventrilo Download & Installation
These are the steps you will need to follow to install and initially configure Ventrilo. For instructions on how to log in to class with Ventrilo, contact the law school at 805-683-5337 or 866-970-4529.
First download Ventrilo.

Once Ventrilo is downloaded you will need to configure the software for your personal use. You should have an icon on your desktop called "Ventrilo", a cool guy with sunglasses. Double-click this to open the program.
This will show you a screen as shown below. Click on the arrow that is highlighted in our sample image
After clicking on the arrow, a new window should pop up. Click on "New", as we have highlighted.
In the window that pops up, type in your full name as we have shown below and click "OK".
This returns you to the User Setup window shown below. Click on "OK" in this window as we have highlighted.
This returns you to the main Ventrilo window. Click on "Setup" as we have highlighted.
A new window will pop up. Put a checkmark in the box next to "Use push-to-talk hotkey" as we have highlighted. Go to Hotkey Box and push the left Ctrl button, this is the Key you push in class to speak.
